Vertis Green Hills opened in the summer of 2018 as a first of its kind project for Southern Land Company. During the past year, SLC has been a proactive observer and listener, taking necessary steps to make the user experience better and more safe for anyone who either visits or calls Vertis ‘home.’
SLC enlisted Showdog in its process of re-thinking signage strategy to ease traffic stress - the motor court area, valet parking guidance, - the presence of a new restaurant, Brixx, and five levels underground parking - originally designed for two-way traffic. These were some of the issues discussed with the priority being to maximize pedestrian and driver safety.
After a thorough walk through and discussion of the issues, Showdog met internally to create a plan that would address SLC’s priorities and a strategic plan of execution and scope defining document including steps of execution, milestones, and line-by-line costs. This would also require additional walk throughs of the site locations, noting locations specifics, messaging, and photography to include in the plan for SLC.
Showdog provided turnkey environmental graphics and signage for the parking garage at Vertis. These include project colors w/reflective copy, calling attention to heavy pedestrian areas.
The scope for which Showdog led design, production, and installation included:
-New reflective project-branded graphics for overhead directional signage
-Additional large format project-branded graphics to direct users to parking areas and exits
-Re-positioning signage with new graphics educating users to new traffic flow strategy
-Creating visual graphics for directional signage to replace text
-Site directional and informational signage
Super graphics with reflective messaging and level-specific color codes are a fast, cost effective way to add custom branded, informative graphics.
Showdog’s extensive communication and attention to the client’s needs led to a project that has been successful in increasing safety and improving the experience for tenants, residents, and retail visitors while increasing valuable brand presence throughout the project.
